Rotary Club Of Coimbatore Saicity Supported Expansion Of Facilities At Balachandran Smaraka Janavaibhava Kendram
Rotary Club of Saicity donated 8 high speed swing machines to the garment centre at the Balachandran Samaraka Janavaibhava Kendram. The club also supported the development of working conditions at the centre by donating 8 ceiling fans, lights and supported renovation work of a toilet at the centre. 30 women are now engaged in garment making at the centre. The Rotary Club had earlier donated 5 sewing machines to the centre in 2016.
A computer education Centre was started in the centre in November 2020. The kendram already has a sewing training centre and a garment making centre. 50 students have enrolled in the centre and are provided basic learning courses in computer. Rotary Club of Coimbatore Sai City donated 10 computers to this computer centre and also 10 computers to Malleeswara Vidyanikethan School and computer centre at Vivekananda Janasevana Kendram in Sholayur.
