Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission

Swami Vivekanada Medical Mission successfully completed the fifth batch of training on Freshwater aquaculture on 27.03.22. The program was conducted as part of the NABARD supported Livelihood and Enterprise Development Program (LEDP) and 30 SHG members of Chittoor and Maranatti were part of it. The sessions were taken by Sri CM Vishnu (Director, Dheeran Live World, Coimbatore), Shri Jacob C John (Director, ICDS), Smt. Nithya C (Financial literacy Councillor), Sri. Ajimon (Aquaculture Farmer) etc. Topics like Types of Aquaculture, Tarpaulin Pond system, Bio Floc System, RAS and Aquaponics, Pond management, Fish health and nutrition, Financial management, Marketing, Record keeping etc. were covered in the 10-day long training program. A demonstration visit to the Bio-floc farm and Tarpaulin Pond System was also conducted. The closing ceremony was held on 27.03.22 in presence of Smt. Nithya Shiju (Ward Member), Sri Sajimon S (SVMM Trust Secretrary), Sri Jacob John (ICDC Director) and Sri Prashant P K (Project Manager-Education and Skill, SVMM).
